Dr. Veronica Scott is a motivated professional who promotes mental wellness for children, youth, and adults. Dr. Scott is knowledgeable about the landscape surrounding diversity, equity, and inclusion, and is very familiar with best practices for creating an inclusive environment. Dr. Scott is passionate about creating an environment where everyone can feel comfortable and respected. Dr. Scott is a dedicated educator and professional who brings her ‘students first’, ‘inclusive’, and ‘equitable’ philosophies to whatever it is she does.
Dr. Veronica Scott is the Special Education Instructor at OIC-CADI. Before her arrival at CADI, Dr. Scott worked at the William Penn School District as a Science Teacher and itinerant support for students with IEPs, and as a professional development specialist and educational consultant at MET, Inc. Dr. Scott was a Program Director at the NET, with over nine years of management experience overseeing drug, alcohol, and mental health programs. She has devoted over a decade to social services with a clinical background in individual and group counseling with children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Scott has extensive knowledge and skills in trauma-informed therapy with at-risk populations. Dr. Scott completed the Interdisciplinary Doctor of Educational Leadership program at Saint Joseph’s University, where her research focused on African American women maintaining resilience and persistence in pursuit of leadership roles. Dr. Scott received her Master of Science degree in Human Services from Chestnut Hill College, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Health Counseling from Drexel University, also located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Veronica Scott is a lifelong resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and continues to call Philadelphia her home.
